Rescue Ranchito’s Herd Managers

Erin Brown, Founder + Lead Herd Manager

It is always all about the animals for Erin and has been forever. Even back when she was growing up Erin would gather up animals that needed refuge. Kittens and dogs, chickens and rabbits, goats and horses. And to this day not a thing has changed. Erin’s life is filled with rescue animals of all shapes and sizes. But her passion lies with horses, mustangs in particular. There is nothing that gets Erin more fired up than animals in need of advocacy. And it’s this passion that has driven Erin to be an active part of making the world around her better, kinder, more compassionate. Sharing the stories of those under the Ranchito’s care will forever be the most important thing Erin does!

Casey Brown, Co-Founder + Lead Misfit Storyteller

While horses had been a massive part of Erin and Casey’s lives growing up, it was Casey who made the jump back into the equine world with the rescue of our beloved Lola. Casey has always lived her life proud of her deep empathy and willingness to lead with compassion. She has always been uncompromising when it comes to being herself, standing up for what she believed was right, taking risks for animals in need. Rescue Ranchito stands on the foundation Casey built around taking a chance on a horse that desperately needed her… and our mission and vision are constructed from her selflessness, fortitude, and passion for doing what is right for the animals.

Every. Single. Time.

Andrew Foster, Principle Corral Manager

It all started with a one-eyed cat named Kiki. Meeting that rescued cat changed Andrew’s perspective not only on cats themselves, but the importance of providing refuge for animals in need. Andrew is now dedicated to supporting the efforts of Rescue Ranchito because he deeply understands the gravity of the situations these animals find themselves. Plus, he will always understand that he takes 2nd (or 3rd or 4th) place to the animals with Erin, so he might as well get on board! No man left behind.

Kula Foster, Co-Founder + Chief Animal Lover

If anyone gets animals on a cellular level it’s Kula. She just understands why we do what we do. It’s in her very DNA to love, respect and embrace all animals, great and small. She has been raised with animals being the most important presence in her home and her dog Oscar has taken it upon himself to become her nighttime protector. It is something to behold, a child that has been raised as one of the herd, pack, one with the four-legged creatures that are just as much a vital part of the family as she is… what a way to infuse compassion from the very beginning. Plus, Kula is always game to add to her furry crew, much to her mother’s delight.
